How a master key system works
Each lock accepts both its own key and one or more higher-level keys. A cleaner's key might open the front door and the amenities but not the server room. A manager's key opens their floor. A master key opens everything.
The design is the important part. A system planned around your actual staff structure stays useful for years. One planned badly needs replacing when your first department moves.

Common questions
What happens if a master key is lost?
That's the risk that makes design matter. A well-planned system limits the exposure and can be rekeyed at the affected level rather than replaced wholesale. We'd talk through this before installing.
Can we add doors later?
Yes, if the system was designed with expansion in mind. We plan for it by default.
Can master key systems use restricted keys?
Yes, and we'd usually recommend it. Restricted keys can't be copied at a hardware store, which is what makes the access control meaningful.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the number of doors. We'll survey the site and give you a schedule and firm price before starting.
